Speaking at the NFT Connect Event in Arizona

Last week, I had the honor to speak at the NFT Connect event in Arizona. It was an amazing experience and I had the possibility to share my insights with the audience as well as learn from others about NFTs, CryptoCurrency, and the Metaverse. It was a great privilege to connect with the people who are defining this industry and to speak about the aspects I find most important.

My personal journey into cryptocurrencies and the possibilities they open for us started back in 2017. But over the last year I have dived deep into the NFT world, both as an investor, amassing my own digital art collection, and as a marketing expert, helping NFT projects reach their audiences. This is a field that’s moving with incredible speed, where every day feels like a month, and each month a year’s worth of change seems to happen. There are so many opportunities, so much innovation, and excitement, and it only keeps evolving and changing as time goes by.

Speaking about Women in Web3

During the event, I took part in several panels, but perhaps the most important one was on the place of women in the Web3 world. I sat alongside 6 other influential women who are carving out a space for women in this niche and defining the roles women can take on in it. I have been a huge advocate for the advancement of women in business and tech for so many years now, and I was happy to discuss these issues.

Web3 brings about huge opportunities, and infinite potential to solve various social problems, so it’s vital to consider strategies of engaging women and girls in this space.Β It’s amazing to see how many women-led NFT projects are already rising up every day. There is no doubt in my mind that Web3 has the ability to enable women to create their own financial freedom and independence and thus transform their lives.

Speaking about Community Building on Web3

If you know my IRL or have been following me online on various social channels, you know that I have been building communities as far back as I can remember. When it comes to Web3, and specifically when it comes to promoting your NFT project, it’s vital to have a solid, engaged, and strong community. Creating an emotional attachment to the project and the story behind it is key to success.

One of the more fascinating panel sessions at NFT Connect was devoted to ways of building a strong NFT community. We discussed what channels, beyond Twitter and Discord, can be leveraged to engage with audiences who are interested in NFTs and what’s important to know and learn if you are planning to build a community for an NFT project.

Speaking on the Onboarding to Web3 Panel

Another great session I was part of focused on onboarding processes on Web3. Getting started in Web3 can be daunting since it’s a technical space with lots of inside terminologies. While there is currently no way to simplify the process, one thing everyone agrees on is Web3 is better learned via doing rather than reading. There’s no way to fully comprehend this new creation being born in front of us without taking part in it yourself.Β

Conclusion

The thing that inspired me the most about the NFT Connect event was the feeling that the Web3 world is one of equalization. On Web3 there is no discrimination by gender, color, language, country, or religion.

Everything is transparent on the Blockchain. No one will pay you less because you are a female or male or where you are from.

That’s the magic of this sphere.
