NFTs are exploding in 2022 and many are wondering how they can get in on the act. Brands and businesses are questioning how they can incorporate NFTs into their business strategy and for good reason as well.Β

NFTs can bring many benefits when it comes to brand promotion and you have a brand and are reading this right now, if you are not considering how you can make the most of NFTs, perhaps this post might change your mind.Β

In this post are 3 benefits of using NFTs to promote your business.

Establishing Brand Loyalty

NFTs can prove to be good ways to establish loyalty for your brand. Through the current NFT explosion, many collectors have established a connection with the brands behind the assets themselves.

This has been a big driving force behind some of the biggest NFT successes – the community which has formed around the connection to the brand’s identity and the story behind the artworks.

People love to connect to stories behind the creations and this can provide an opportunity for you to get people to connect to your brand in a way unlike anything before it.

Added to that, NFTs are an investment. By helping people to make money from investment to your asset they will be more likely to promote it to their network to maximize their investment – thus promoting your business in the process.

It’s a beneficial thing for all parties involved.

Allowing Access To Exclusive Offers For Your Business

NFTs are not simply just a digital asset that one can own as an investment, you can use NFTs as a method of providing access for your users and customers to various parts of your business.Β

Exclusivity can be a big part of urging people to take action and engage with your brand and when you combine the scarcity of your NFTs (eg a certain number of NFTs being available to purchase), with special offers included only with your NFTs such as access to exclusive events, products or services or discounts.

As you can imagine, for people that are interested in the offerings it provides an incentive for them to purchase the NFTs available. On the other side for those that don’t know much about the business attached to the NFT but are interested in the asset, it provides a valuable opportunity to gain a potential customer/supporter to the business.

Earning Royalties From Your Assets

Every time an NFT is traded on a marketplace, you can earn royalties off the sale. Of course, this means an additional source of revenue for your business thus helping increase your bottom line.

Already big brands have been looking into NFTs and adopting them into their business strategies, here is a small list of some of the biggest ones:

NBA

The National Basketball Association incorporated NFTs into their online marketplace of licensed digital collectibles known as β€˜NBA Top Shot’. This allowed fans to be able to purchase and ‘own’ moments from their favourite teams, players, or matches and earn certificates along with an original clip.

This approach was done as a way of bridging the gap into a more digital and direct-to-consumer approach.

Nike

This massive sports apparel corporation has incorporated NFTs in a creative way with their sneakers. Now when you purchase the brand’s shoes you will get an NFT version of the product uploaded to your ‘virtual locker’ under the ‘Cryptokick’ scheme.

This NFT scheme creates a layer digital seal of authenticity to the physical product and stamps ownership with whoever owns it, which is very relevant amongst the current reseller and collector culture and takes the concept of digital fashion to another level.

Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola launched an NFT auction for International Friendship Day on the 30th July 2021 which involved the sale of digital assets that were said to β€œre-imagine some of Coca-Cola’s iconic assets for the metaverse, with each NFT inspired by shared moments of friendship.”

The auction included items such as the redesign of the iconic Coca-Cola delivery jacket, which is digitally wearable on Centraland, a β€˜decentralized 3D virtual reality platform.’ The proceeds of the campaign all went to Special Olympics International, which was the world’s largest organization for disabled athletes.

Overall, NFTs can be very beneficial for your business and this is why it’s important to understand them and how this can help move your brand forward in the current and future climate.
